Common questions before you upgrade.
Why is the update only half the price of a fresh installation?
Because half of the work — server provisioning, payment / SMS configuration, Firebase + Maps keys, Play / Apple developer wiring, language packs you have already added — does not need to be redone. We charge for what we actually re-do: re-installing the new upstream version, porting your customizations, running migrations, and re-testing every surface.
Will my existing data, orders, vendors and customers be safe?
Yes. Every update is done on a backed-up copy first. Production data — customers, orders, products, vendors, drivers, transactions, settings — is preserved cent-for-cent. We swap to the new code only after the staging build passes regression on your real schema.
Do you need access to my server and Play / Apple consoles?
For server updates: yes, SSH access (root or sudo) to your existing VPS. For Play Store updates: Play Console access plus your existing keystore + key alias / password. For Apple Store updates: App Store Connect access and your distribution certificate / provisioning profile. We can guide you through inviting us with the right roles.
How fast does an update ship once I pay?
Most script updates ship in 1–3 working days. Big database migrations or apps with heavy customizations can take 4–7 days; we quote the exact timeline up-front before you pay. The countdown pauses automatically if we are waiting on access from your side.
What if I do not have the original installation source code?
No problem. If we did your original installation, we already have the source. If another agency installed it, share the live server + repo and we will reverse-pull the code, diff it against the upstream release, and replay your customizations. The fee stays half of a fresh install in most cases — we will flag any exception in the quote.
Are customization changes part of the update price?
No. The update fee covers re-installing the new upstream version and replaying customizations you already have. Net-new features or design changes are quoted separately as a Customization service, so the upgrade itself stays predictable. Most customers do both in the same engagement.
Do I have to update my Play Store / Apple Store apps too?
Only if you want to. Many customers keep their current store apps and only update the admin / web. Re-submitting apps is a per-app add-on — $10 per app for Play Store, $15 per app for Apple Store — covering re-build, re-sign and re-submission for review.
What if something breaks after the update?
Tell us via the project page or WhatsApp and we fix it under lifetime support — no extra invoice. Every update keeps a full rollback so we can revert in minutes if a regression slips through. Lifetime support is unchanged after the upgrade.
