- What exactly does the monthly retainer cover?
- A defined set of work agreed up front — patching cadence, backup frequency, monitoring scope, on-call windows and the kinds of changes included. Anything beyond that scope is quoted separately so the retainer stays predictable.
- Do you support cloud providers and on-premise servers?
- Yes — AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr, Linode, your own data centre or a hand-me-down server in a closet. We work where your infrastructure is.
- How fast is your incident response?
- Under 30 minutes for production-down (P1) incidents during covered hours. Lower-severity issues follow a published SLA agreed in onboarding, with monthly reporting against it.
- Will you replace our existing IT team or work with them?
- Both options are common. We can be the whole IT function for a small business, or we can plug in as the on-call / out-of-hours team alongside an in-house lead.
- Can you migrate our infrastructure first?
- Yes. We often start with a migration to better hosting, tighter security and proper backups, then continue as the managed-support team afterwards.
- How do you handle credentials and access?
- Every credential lives in a shared password manager you control. We use named accounts, short-lived SSH access where possible, and an audit trail of who did what — never shared passwords on a shared spreadsheet.
